I had my first sales appointment today - after 2 months of sitting around watching Schitt's Creek and wasting time on the internet. Of course I've been out and around a bit, but this was the first chance to get completely dressed and ready to be "on". Felt great- except for my hair, which I cannot wait to make over next Wednesday. I'm ditching the red for the summer and going back to a quieter blonde with dark roots.

Anyways - another long cardigan for the win. I wish it wasn't this easy - as now I'm wanting to top everything with a long cardigan for camouflage. These are new pants - which I was a bit hesitant about because they are a different kind of fit, plus what the heck was I going to wear with them? - but quickly found the perfect tank and sweater right in my closet . They are excellently comfy and slouchy with fun front pockets. New espadrilles for the finishing touch - super comfy and GREAT quality suede (a surprise given the manufacturer) and a fun crossbody from one of the lines I rep.

Pink and bronze makeup, and gold jewellery.

1st colour and cut coming up next week - YAY- and first pedicure on June1. No word from my manicurist who seems to be pouting because we stopped going to her back in March . My fingernails are atrocious right now. Oh- and I have to laugh at my mirror selfies. I always think of kkards when I post any pics of myself as she and I seem to take the same kind of pic. Looking down, vaguely frowning into the camera which messes up the proportions. I still can't figure out how to not look at the phone camera! If I smile into the mirror, I look demented. So - it's the huge-head look, or demented.

Wow, Lisa! You look great, and things are really opening up there! Salons and such aren’t until phase 3 here, and we’re just entering into the earliest part of phase 2 at the end of the week (phase 1 being stay at home).

I really like the blush with the earthY neutrals. Pretty and springlike without being twee.

Thanks Jenn - I like pretty and springy, but don't want to look like my mother, if you know what I mean. Bless her heart. Twee is NOT me, that's for sure. And yes, the provincial government gave the go-ahead for retail and hair salons - oh, and restaurant patios too , lol - to open on May 1. It was a huge surprise to all retailers, and many (if not most) are not opening yet. Even my hair salon isn't opening until Monday the 11th. Everyone is still quite tentative and feeling their way around new regulations. Nail salons can't open until June 1, and there is no word yet on gyms, which is killing me (my other place of work). My daughter started full-on back in her physio clinic on Monday. Manitoba kept things locked down pretty tight and very quickly, and we were able to contain the virus better than other provinces. Also - kids didn't get Spring Break here until after ON and QC - which were the hardest hit - so that helped too. Fingers crossed, and all I can say is that I'm glad I'm not working in retail right now.

Kelly - thanks Funny thing about these pants: they are described as "mid/low rise, semi-drop crotch" . They are a size too big for the way I want to wear them , so I just yanked them up and probably will have to wear a belt after today's first wear

I echo what Jenn said. We are open to the extent of curb service only for most things and wearing some sort of mask if you go out the door, even for neighborhood walks or in your yard. This means children too. DH took Maggie to the vet today for a routine blood pressure check. They came to the car to get her and brought her back to the car. The car is the new waiting room. If you do have to go inside, you need an appointment. This will include going to church in a few weeks. Numbers inside can be very limited. Love your colors. That pale pink with light camo is sophisticated and pretty.

Pretty - very soft colors and subtle play on print, shine and texture! Shoes are looking great - seems like a workhorses with that neutral brown/beige suede.

We are opening up much more slowly here is Washington. 4 phases. We are in phase 1. Phase 2, end of the month. I love have a hair app on the FIRST day. May 28th!!!

You look excellent in the soft colors and I think your red hair looks great although I totally get the need for a change. Things have been opening pretty quickly here, fortunately the rates are still very low, and it is amazing how quickly people spring back into action - with masks and sanitizer but pretty much the same nonetheless.

Angie - thank you ! I do love these colours but still feel tentative in them at times as they aren’t very , I don’t know - professional ? Cool ? Lol. And I think my hair stopped growing awhile ago ( I’ve cut my bangs but that’s it ) . I think it must be in a metabolic emergency growth conservation stage .

What a gorgeous outfit! I love how good blush looks with the beige. I think I see what you mean about them not feeling "professional", but maybe they are fine given your profession. Plus people's ideas of what is "professional" may have changed Post-CV.

Lucky you to be starting the "opening up" phase. Here in Mass we're still in phase 1, and on 5/18 will hear what the rest of the plan is for opening up. Boston, the eastern 1/3 of the state, and nursing homes all over the state were hit VERY hard, but it's been somewhat less where I am. I'm wondering if there will be (but not expecting) different rules for diff parts of the state. My last hair appt was Feb 21, and right now I'm schedule for for May 23 (3.2 months) but depending on what the plans are I might have to push it out again. It's been a long time since I had hair this long and I'm actually starting to like it !

Back to the outfit...I've been toying with the idea of camo pants as an alternative to jeans and this gives me some great ideas!

You version of not-your-mother's spring pretty is a knockout on you. The colors are great and soft but you are retaining an edge.

I have the same problem with looking into the mirror--I have big eyes and I look like an absolute lunatic. I begin to understand why so many outfit blogger photos feature heads ducked with shy smiles...

I'm glad you're in a place where restrictions are loosening. It's hard for me to imagine. Stay safe and enjoy the spring sunshine (which I hope you have there).

Thanks, all , for the kind words I feel like my style is all over the place right now - even more so than usual.

And yes, Chris, professional is all relative, isn't it? That probably wasn't the right word to use in this case. I was actually going to assist with some by-appointment-only selling in one of our big garden centre's clothing shop , so wore pieces from that store (pants and bag) .

Glad to hear support for the pink/caramel palette - I really do like it and will see what else I can do with it!

kk - I have NO idea how people do it. I tried holding the phone as usual and then smiling /looking at myself in the mirror instead of at the phone, but the pics came out with me looking manic gazing off centre. Someone needs to do a tutorial on this. Why am I so clued out here?

Personally, I don't think there is a so called set of "professional and cool" colours. Style is a sum of its parts. It's how the look is worn - along with the attitude of the wearer - that makes it fabulous. You achieved that!
