Thank you all! I think your descriptors are perfect. I'm not sure what style persona label it fits, but just keeping these terms in mind will help me as I closet edit, create capsules, and shop! I especially like the observation that there's a touch of retro in there Caro - I think you're right, and I hadn't IDed that yet!
I do love Angie's posts on capsules and archetypes - that's what got me thinking I should really have a firm handle on what my style IS instead of just thinking about whether a piece looks good on me and works with my lifestyle and closet. Those are all important, but won't guarantee I have a closet full of looks I love!
Can anyone suggest brands to shop/use as inspiration for this sort of look? I'm a pear-shaped petite. I think I shop too much "sporty" stuff and need more flowy silky things and lace and such. I'm coming up with Jenny Packham, Nannette Lepore, and some classic silhouettes like Marc Jacobs, Theory.
Other ideas? The labels don't necessarily have to be achievable/affordable - just places to look for pieces I can match at a better price point and for styling etc.
