First outing of my wide leg denim crops.

Finally, some 6 weeks after I bought them, I am wearing these wide leg denim crops.
I grabbed the first top that seemed to work. I anticipate comments that I should be going for a column of colour and not be so high contrast. However my workhorse light blue sweater didn't work.
I think the booties would work better if they were higher but I am not sure this is showing in the pictures.

Any comments or criticism welcome.

PS. I have been on holiday for awhile with little internet so no Ylf. Currently in big post holiday wash and grocery shopping stage. Am catching up on posts and will do a travel debrief soon.

Beautiful outfit! I think the black on top with the black on the bottom looks good. Everything is darker in the winter, so I think it all works.

The outfit looks well put together and I’m loving the black top. Have you tried belting the jeans with a black belt, the pants look naked tucked with no belt and it will enhance the outfit, maybe try and post an updated photo and we can give feedback

This looks wonderful, I really like the black top. It is great with those boots. And you so suit the shorter hair, it looks much more fashion- forward to me than your previous longer hair. It will of course mean more frequent trips to a hairdresser, may be a downside. I find keeping my pixie maintained by going every six weeks a pain in the backside.

Jess, I sort of agree with you on the belt thing, but I don't currently have any suitable ones, so take comfort in Angie saying she doesn't wear one with high rises.

I like it. I wear jewelry more than many here, so I would probably wear a long pendant necklace with it.

I love the silhouette and I love the contrast with the black sweater! A column of color would look good, too.

K2K! This is much much better(I think) than a column of color with the black boots especially, black sweater to it is perfect, you nailed proportions so well, wow!!
