For three years, I've been looking for a modern classic trench coat in a Spring shade of toffee. I've tried soooooooo many styles from Burberry to Zara and everything in-between. If the fit was right, the colour was off. And when the colour was right, the fit or quality was off. You know how it goes.

Well. Patience pays off as always. Out of the blue, as Club Monaco is unpacking their Spring collection, hangs my perfect trench coat. It's in the softest shade of toffee, the fabric is scrumptious, and the workmanship is superb.

I wore it right way, out shopping with a client today, and the outfit is below. A column of white with pearls plus bright specs and bag. I can't tell you how GOOD it felt to wear a tailored and structured outfit. I'm just thrilled with my new trench. It looks sharp. We're going to have many happy moments together.
