I have a couple of stops to make this afternoon and then attending an art opening — I have two pieces in it. Decided to finally break out the new oversized marble print blazer! I wanted to dress it down with denim and a tee, so I went with boyfriend jeans and a simple b&w graphic tee. This jacket is really nicely made — there is even a little zip pocket inside!

I’ve also been dying to wear these booties but it’s been pouring rain for days and they are suede. I guess the navy works well enough with the blue denim that it doesn’t bother me that I’m not wearing navy anywhere else in the outfit. Black booties would have been a safer choice but I just feel like an art event is the perfect chance to break them out.

I may carry my only navy bag just to provide a little bookending. It’s my convertible Tumi travel bag and it’s gone pretty unused the last few years, so it’s good to break it out for a change. Maybe I need a simple navy crossbody bag, now that I have these boots…

So this is day two of wearing black and blue…
