Feeling the boot-cut love

Inspired by MaryK, Suz and Shannon's posts rocking their bootcuts, I dusted mine off and paired them up with my new Aldo booties. This is a brave step for me - wearing light coloured footwear in (almost) winter! Booties are very comfortable..but noisy. Think I will have to get a rubber pad for the heel...I prefer to sneek up on my prey...

Pea Jacket (liberated several years ago from DD's closet)

Love this! I have some boot cuts I got from my sister, I need to try them now! Those booties look even better in person.

Thanks Ceit - and I agree they do look far better in person, and fit beautifully! I find they look somewhat grey in the first 2 pics, but the third photo shows the true colour. I am pleasantly surprised that I don't find the contrast jarring between the shoe and the jeans. Probably because I have bookended with a light coloured sweater...an idea I am copying from your post!

Boot cuts are great! They are my go to jean when I don't feel like wrestling with knee high boots. I think they're classic.

This looks great, Merwoman! I love everything about it and the boots look great with the substantial neck of your sweater. That light color is very nice.

Really like the light color; they bookend your hair beautifully! As long as you are not dealing with slush or snow, i think they work well for winter. And what's not to love about bootcuts?! I don't do the skinny pants tucked into boots look myself, otherwise a carbon copy of everyone else, and where's the fun in that?

This is a super outfit! Those booties are terrific bookended with your sweater, and wow, I am wanting a leopard belt more and more and more....I think I need to get me to the Bay tomorrow! You look great in the boot cuts.

Yay for more bootcut love! This is fab and the bookending of the light booties with the cream sweater is perfection. Also really like the cognac bag and animal print belt bringing in those rich tones. Love this!

Great oufit! I love the leopard print belt! I pulled out a pair of boot cut jeans this past weekend also with similar colored boots. My boots are also very loud which made me feel much more dressed up than I actually was (I guess I associate hard heels with dressier outfits).

The light shoes perfectly tie in the sweater. I try to sport both my skinnies and bootcuts weekly so I don't grow tired of just one style.
