Feeling Fuchsia for Fall

Fuchsia, cranberry, beetroot, plum, magenta - take your pick. It's all a similar shade of pink. Not quite a purple, and not quite shocking pink either.

Got the bag already - Find #1.

Saw these yummy-to-me new things at Boden - Finds #2 to #11. (I LOVE fish 'n chips).

I continue to be VERY committed to finding warm dressier pants to wear instead of blue jeans in cold weather. I GET SO SICK OF MY BLUE JEANS that I wear a lot from Oct to April because I'm cold and they are practical. I did great with the lined and woolly VB micro check pants at the NAS! The theme continues. Three options here: Finds #2, 3 and 5.

Fuchsia is fab with red, orange, citron, cream and navy, of which I have a lot of. I was a Benetton gal in the '80s - if that rings a bell for anyone? LOVED their colour mash-ups and ads. Still do. Big colour inspiration for me.

Ooh! I like that especially with the corduroy texture. Luxe but FUN.

I'm intrigued by those boots. I'm looking to expand my burgundy complement, and also realizing that I really like to create tonal looks more than exact matches. So "burgundy" might need to be a kind of loose category, and these fuchsia shades might have a place.

Looking forward to seeing how you develop these ideas!

I remember Benetton fondly. I wore the perfume Colours.
Fuchsia and orange sound wonderful together. I am looking forward to seeing this. I might go with burgundy and burnt orange similar to what Sarah is thinking.

As a teenager I had a fuchsia Benetton pullover! It was one of my favourite things to wear all through high school (early 2000s -- thrift store find).

I've been excited about fuchsia since earlier in the spring, especially paired with navy and dark grey/faded black; glad to see it's hanging around for fall. I added a simple jersey dress that has been perfect for beach and gardening. Still looking at sneakers in a similar shade.

Those Boden Finds look yummy indeed!

Oh, yes, I love the Benetton ads, too, and used to adore their clothes as well.

Fuchsia is gorgeous. I'm not sure it's a great color for me any more, but I still find it very pretty.

Fuschia is one of my worst colors near the face, but pants or skirt or shoes and a bag may be fun. I do have a near fuschia trench coat . I do not want in invest much in this color but will enjoy it on others. A warm pair of fuschia pants sound ideal for you.

Saw this one last night... (along with snakeskin, micro checks and leopard)....I think it is super fun....

I prefer hot pink to fuschia on me - but it sure is a joyful colour!!

I like that denim shirt dress, Angie. Do you know if there is a seam across the waist. It doesn't say there is but that doesn't always mean there isn't. I like a seamed waist because it reigns in the volume through the waist for me.

The Kemble Coat in blue is fun but I probably don't need a second Teddy Coat.

I have been excited about the fall Boden offerings so far, especially colorblock coats and sweaters, but now wool pants as well.

Like Joy, I don’t find fuschia flattering near my face, but I am always magnetically drawn to it. It’s one of my favorite colors. I’m looking forward to your fuschia fall!

I have fuchsia nike sneakers that I wore to death! got some curious stares while wearing them with a black dress walking down the Champs-Elysees. Its such a bold fun color--of course I also loved all the saturated colors in Benetton's 80s styles

Have a love hate with the bright colors.... they look good on my complexion but sometimes feel a bit too much....currently have a fuchsia majesty peacoat jacket & a fuchsia lafayette blazer that did not get any wear last year...debating on selling....but they are so pretty

You know I'm on board for this! I was busy collecting the same Finds as Angie when she was collecting hers -- with zero coordination ahead of time. I had to laugh when I saw she'd put the same things on her Finds as I did!

I actually collected quite a lot of Boden stuff. I won't be buying all of it by any means but I think a few fuchsia additions will not go amiss!

I'll be bringing my shocking pink J. Crew jacket to Vancouver so can add it into the mix. I didn't have it with me last year. The Boden versions are actually more flattering to me but the J. Crew will keep me for now -- it's a nicely made jacket.

I remember those beautiful Benetton ads! We might not have got a store here until the 90s though. I was too busy with the kids ( and too poor just then for those prices) to buy anything then and the store is long gone now. For me, once a bright colours person, always a bright colours person. Team colour! Love your fuchsia.

Believe it or not, fuchsia was a big color in my wardrobe c.2009, when I lived in Seattle. It really helped brighten up gray winter days. Doesn’t work as well for me now, but I do still like the look of it.

I know Benetton and I miss it. We had it in Canada - even in New Brunswick where I grew up! I adored that store and coveted and bought many items in the 80s and 90s. The colours are saturated and really spoke to me and continue to do so!! Your finds are terrific. I hope to be wearing fuchsia this fall - but I think I am low on fuchsia at the moment in my wardrobe. Yay for colour!

It is a lovely colour and one that I enjoy will wearing; I like that it works within a berry range of colours. Benetton’s images are always so engaging and enticing. You have a lovely selection Angie and it will be fun to see how you wear it.

Fun! Interestingly, I've been doing some reading on colour combining! Not sure if I'll be looking at fuschia, but definitely interested in colour-on-colour.

I love fuschia! I purchased a fuschia jacket made by Theory for summer this year and last year I purchased an entire suit with wide leg crops and an interesting double breasted blazer made by Sea. I have fuschia knits and scarves. I even have a down puffer that might be considered fuschia by some...... I think I’m set! I’m looking for turquoise, which I love to wear with fuschia! In some instances it looks very bright and possibly would be too high contrast for my personal coloring but when used in small amounts, I think it’s very elegant.

I like fuchsia (and it likes me back) but the colors I like even better in Boden's current palette are the Duck Egg and Baltic blue-greens.
