February challenge - Day 4 - YouLookFab Forum

Here is my extra casual look for busy Saturday. Going grocery shopping and running couple of other errands. Some friends are coming over for dinner, but it will be very casual get together so I
will probably not change for that.
Sweater is new from December, somewhat oversized silhouette that I am experimenting with. Darks are navy, not black, difficult to get accurate photo.
When I shop and plan my wardrobe, I always concentrate on my work wardrobe, and my casual is an afterthought, and that shows. One thing I would like to get out of this challenge is to learn how to merge my work and casual wardrobe and have more consistent style.

The dark and light contrast here looks great and makes the casual look interesting. I would love to have an oversized navy sweater like that, it will be so versatile. Great boots too.

I think it’s a great example of a casual look that has a current feel - the shape and fit of the sweater, the cargo pockets, the cut of the puffer. Looks flattering and well-fitted.

I love your goal to focus less exclusively on your work wardrobe! Hard to do. This doesn't look like an afterthought outfit - can you identify descriptors of how you'd like to look/feel in your casual clothes?

This is a great casual outfit all around and there isn't much too be changed about it. If you are feeling slightly bored with it, maybe add a fun printed scarf or a bright bag, but overall it looks excellent as is.

Thank you all for the confidence boost and apologies for not replying, my errands took much longer than expected and I barely made it home before my guests.
This cargo pants a basically cut like regular straight leg jeans with cargo pockets and also flap pockets in the back. So if you like the look of those, this is the secret.
April - I am not good with those descriptors, but comments on my Friday outfit about wearing velvet blazer casually made me think why I never do that. So I think it is because I want to be relaxed, have fun, be comfortable and active. And of course appropriate and confident.
