Favorite liner for tightlining?

Several fabbers mentioned tightlining in their poll response yesterday. SInce MAC discontinued my go-to pencils years ago, I've had zero luck tightlining with a pencil that doesn't transfer or smudge. What are your favorite eyeliners for tightlining?

I have been using Laura Mercier wet liner for years. I can't remember when I started to do this. Long before YLF. I use the Laura Mercier brush. I have used dark brown and midnight blue. I prefer dark brown.

I've used Maybelline Master Kajal cream kohl eyeliner for ages. No muss, no fuss, and it stays where you put it. I use Midnight Brown mostly, and sometimes a dark blue when the spirit moves me.

Nars now but I used to use the Laura Mercier one but there wasn’t one when I needed so had to go to Nars. The Nars one is as good I think.

Waterproof Stila liquid liner. Either of their two formulae. I find powder migrates into my eyes and down under my bottom lashes = hot mess.

I use the Laura Mercier one, too.

I have developed a little trick recently, wherein I save one of my daily contact lens packets and use the sterile water in it to mix with the liner.

Btw, the LM tight line is not powder. It's paint. Like watercolour paint, IYKWIM.

I use the Laura Mercier Tightline as well......with the LM brush. I used to use an Urban Decay pencil eyeliner but after being introduced to the LM here on YLF I haven't looked back. There's a bit of a learning curve with it but once you get the hang of it it's great.....and it stays put.

I use LM as well but I like the charcoal grey. It’s perfect with my grey green eyes. It almost looks blue, and sometimes I think it looks navy.

I also like any of the mineral colors from Elea Blake. They make great tight liners!

Right now I'm using CG perfect point plus, and use a brush to keep the line narrow. Not sure it's quite tightlining though.
Wondering now about everyones eyeliner styles! Just upper, just lower, both, cat eye, etc?

I line the INSIDE of my TOP lid only.

I like a pencil, so I use either Marc Jacobs or Hourglass, both of which stick like glue. I love Stila for above the lashes, but I found it creeped into my eye when I used it to tightline. I've also used LM and currently have it, but I don't reach for it as much because I find the MJ and H pencils easier and faster for workday makeup.

If you are looking at the two and comparing prices, keep in mind that the MJ is .0038 oz and the H is .002 oz.

I found one at a TJX called Absolute New York NANO LINER.
Bought on a $5 whim, but it's the best!
So many of the marker-type liners are too thick. This is exactly what it says, an ultra-fine marker type liner.

Well I just bought the Laura Mercier at Nordstrom in black and love it! Not cheap but looks like it’ll last a long time. Weirdly this product was not at my local Sephora nor could I find this colour online there.

Has anyone tried the Charlotte Tilbury eye cheat pencil? Or know of a good dupe?
