This inspiration picture I mentally dubbed 'Dottie, Joan, and Nora go to the talking pictures' since I was thinking of the golden Age of Hollywood and fashions made popular by screwball comedy stars like Claudette Colbert.
Lacking sufficient hats, I made due with Mr. Rabbit's beanie, a pin and some feathers that fell off a cat toy, and a headband and beaded flower respectively. I also mocked up the fur collar (nodding to Rachylou who has the genuine article on her leopard coat).
Fishnet or back seamed stockings, shoes with rounded points and straps, a lot of bow and collar action, and my stab at Late Art Deco in a silky blouse and scarf. Oh and exaggerated cupid's bow lipstick. :}
All feedback welcome! Any ideas for adaptations for the present day?
