I decided to donate the white jeans.
After the mad rush this morning to change and still get out the door in a timely fashion, I decided to play it safe and wear an old favorite. Grey ponte pants with pink/grey cotton sweater.
ETA: The pants are a best buy. I will always have some iteration of these pants in my wardrobe.
The sweater is one of my favorites (in concept). The fact that I never wear it confuses me. I think I figured it out though.
I see the pink/grey stripe as very Spring/Summer. I would never think to reach for it in the Fall/Winter months because the pink color would "feel wrong to me."
The sweater is a medium gauge, 3/4 sleeve, cotton sweater. The sweater "feels" too heavy for Summer weather. That leaves Spring. The window of opportunity to wear it is actually very small. I have to consciously decide to wear it during Spring months.
These items that have very specific windows of opportunity have be to earmarked for wear. I can't just assume that I'll remember to wear it and then years go by and it continues to sit in my closet.
