Fantasy Meets Reality, or I'm Having a Mid-Life Crisis

In an earlier post this week, I talked about my fantasy Rock 'n Roll outfit. Since it was suggested that I actually wear it, I came up with this version to wear out to a birthday dinner tonight with some friends. I'm sure my friends will think I'm having a mid-life crisis, but I'm OK with that

I'd like to be super-cool and wear my sunnies, but I'd never see the menu, so my regular eyeglasses will have to do. Instead of the gold scarf in #3, I am carrying my gold purse tonight.

I probably won't wear the moto entirely open, but I'm showing it here so you can see more of the tee.

#4 is a pic of the back of my head - beachy rock 'n roll hair, which you can't see well in the other photos.

And lest you say "Oh but I still like the original outfit better!" I plan on wearing that out to another dinner tomorrow night. Let the mid-life crisis fun begin!

Thanks everyone! We went to a French restaurant tonight, and our waiter was from England. Turns out his father did public relations and worked with the Beatles. He had some great stories to tell us about the fab four!

I strenuously object to your use of "mid-life crisis" for yourself.. I don't see that AT ALL. I see a very stylish woman who has reached a point in her life where she is secure and confident in her choices, and dresses to please herself.

I hope you will always make the bold choice, because it suits you so well

Yes, La Belle, I have reached the point where I pretty much dress to please myself. My friends are totally used to that. Certain members of my family, on the other hand, will never get used to that, so I'll wear something like this around them on purpose. Ha! Although DH and I are known as "the cool aunt and uncle" so it's all goodie
