It's one of the outfits that J.Crew showed for Fall 2015 at Fashion Week in Feb, and I keep on thinking about it.The entire collection was a favourite - which you will hear more about on the blog tomorrow:

I love the peach and yellow combination, and the patterned pumps and bag are minimally maximal. The slouchy high-necked pullover semi tucked into the A-line structured midi is casually chic. Love the waist bow. Ladylike, yet relaxed. The combination is as Modern as it is Retro.

I am SO in the mood for Retro Futurism (the '70s jumpsuit was a defining moment for my style). I hope to try these pieces on - although the pumps will kill my feet.

Oh that IS gorgeous, Angie! I can totally see this look on you. If the skirt had an inset kick pleat instead of an open slit, I'd be tempted myself. The slit looks more modern, but no one wants to get a flash of my saggy old knees.

Aliona, I'm hoping that nude hose will do the trick with that front slit, which should hopefully prevent flashing because of the A-line cut of the skirt. Or I could have it sewn shut.

That particular outfit doesn't attract me at all (one of my worst colors to wear, and not really match for my life or style), but I love the idea of retro-futurism and would love to explore that further.
