Footwear is my thing . It's how I keep myself "entertained" when clothing isn't doing it for me - and especially for work where I'm really limited in that I can wear. I'm already well into my closet switchover for fall, and am excited to start wearing these - photos below. Some are old, some are newer, the Converse are brand new, and also attached are two pair I have on order. I think this should be lots I have lots of other boots, sneakers etc, but these are the core of my work collection for the next 2 months . Boots won't get worn for another month - hopefully- as I like to stretch out the loafers, brogues, sneakers season as long as possible. We wear boots here for so long (6 months at least ) , it's nice to shorten that window .
The Wishbone collapsible back loafers are old favs that never let me down- adding instant polish to any outfit. The 2 pair of oxfords are older - but still trending, the fur trimmed sneakers are just flat-out fun, the black boots are from last year (still babying them to keep them as clean and pristine as possible), the Converse are total wild cards I hope I haven't wasted money on, and the two new pair are rounding out my earth tone/ivory/taupe capsule (the boots being duplicates of my black ones ) . Another fun wild card are the wedge sneakers - which turned out to be far more wearable and cute than I expected. They give me added height, which I always appreciate, without the discomfort and prissiness of a high heel. I bought them last winter, despite feeling that they were really quite a dated look (hey, they are my shoes so I can judge them all I want ) . They reminded me of those old Ash sneaker wedges a few of us had. Well the joke was on me - I really love them!
Wish me luck at work today - we have to start scanning and verifying vaccine QR codes for entry. Can't get past me without a card today . Ugh. I'm already over the comments like " I will not be under the control of the government" (ok, Fred), "I am not sick so don't need a vaccine " (huh?) , or - my favourite :" I refuse to divulge my personal health information ". Ok sir - just a reminder that we can access any bit of your personal health info anytime we want you know. Think again about where you are and what legal documents you signed to join this place. People are so disappointing, I tell you.
