WIW:Fall Color Change, Wind, Warm Weather, and Quilted Denim

This was supposedly our very last warm day for the season. It was a gloriously pretty drive between my house and my workplace (1.5 hours today). The colors were so amazing, it was a bit distracting. It was supposed to be 77 degrees F. I don't think it ever reached that temp, but starting tomorrow we are supposed to have rain, falling temps, and true fall weather from here on out.
I wanted to grab a few pictures of the colors in our yard, so my DH took these pics. Sorry that you see so much of our driveway, I tried to walk in the grass but it was wet and very cold!!

I am wearing my J Crew quilted denim skirt and a light purple shell. I wore my mephisto mixed metallic animal print sandals. My best friend picked the scarf when we were shopping together. She likes it, and so does my DH. It was chilly so I paired this with a cashmere cardigan that I ended up wearing all day.

Good thinking Angie! I have had that on my mind but I'm not sure what direction I want to go? I have had colored frames before - red, teal, copper, tortoise mixed with green. I have also had various shapes

Thanks everyone! The wind was pretty strong when we took the pics. I had to find one where the scarf wasn't blowing out like a flag!

At first look, your outfit appeared to be quite simple and elegant. When I took a closer look, I saw the fluidity and beautiful cut of the top, the pattern of the scarf and the bracelets to add shine. With the pattern on the skirt, this is a very interesting but subtle look. I think the skirt is very nice on you. You have a very slim build and the skirt emphasizes the curves beautifully.

Oh I like the idea of the scarf blowing in the wind - like when riding in a convertible! I really like the skirt on you and the soft colors work well on you. I am loving the fall colors too in your yard.
Ugh on your long commute though. I get cranky when mine exceeds 22 minutes. I guess I'm spoiled.

I am surprising myself by how feminine I am getting with my style choices. I have been in a male dominated profession and in the past wore much more masculine styles. I am drifting towards softer and more feminine looks. I don't know if this is age, professional confidence, or some feeling I have at the moment.
