1. Inspired by Runcarla and Torontogirl, I forsook my winter blacks and donned a striped sweater (although warm and chunky) and bright navy skinnies. Although I wore boots to the office and changed into these shoes later, I forgot to change back and wore the sneakers out in the world to run some errands. Fortunately the pavement and gravel were not too icy or muddy or wet... although fresh snow is falling again now.
2. I've always admired the look of a pantsuit or drapey trousers worn with big white sneakers but couldn't imagine myself wearing it in real life. Cue yesterday, with my (warm lined) red pants and paisley bowtie blouse. For some reason my fussy feet objected to all the loafers and flats that I keep all the office, but I came across these sneakers and they made my feet happy. Does the look work?
