While not a blazer cut, I want to get more use out of this linen Eileen Fisher long jacket. I haven't worn the tulle Garnet Hill skirt, yet. I added chambray as an equalizer. Do you think this is a hit or miss? I'm wondering if the fabrics are just too different. If it works, what style shoes? Thanks for your input!

I like it! I prefer the darker shoes but both work. Booties are another possibility.

I like the darker footwear and I might switch out the chambray top for something a little more fitted , and either in a tonal colour ( to tie in the belt and shoes ) or perhaps a print .

I like the darker shoes with the belt, and I think the lighter shoes would look great too with a lighter coloured top. This is a great silhouette for you!

I like it, too. Both shoes work but the darker ones pick up the color of your belt and hair.

Thanks ladies! I prefer the darker shoes, too. I'm glad there's no issue with the mismatched fabrics. I'll try some different tops.

I really like the skirt and jacket together. The colour in the top is a bit too saturated though. I like Lisa's idea of a tonal one. Gorgeous!

Yes, it works! Fun juxtaposition. I like the darker shoes. I might also try a different top (although I like this colour with the other -- I mean for variety). And...how about belting on top, i.e. closing the jacket and wearing the belt on the outside? Would that work? A sort of safari inspired look...

It’s a Hit. I like both shoes. The darker with the belt and lighter with the delicate skirt and more tonal, if you go that direction. The shirt seems very blue in the photo. Maybe a light grey-blue chambray? Some fun texture mixing here.

Thanks so much for weighing in everyone! I really appreciate it! I will try a different color top--I chose the chambray b/c often the denim/chambray vibe "goes with" everything. Also, @Suz, I have a thick middle, so while I enjoy belted jackets on other women, it's not the best look for me. I'm kind of surprised everyone was "okay" with the fabric mix.
