It continues to be cold and I continue to steal ... er borrow ... from my husband's side of the closet. None of these outfits are fabulous, but they were warm and cozy and fun to wear and I wouldn't have been embarrassed to run into a former boyfriend or a future boss (my litmus test) so hey, what the heck.
1: Husband's grey wool pullover worn with mini-flares. I felt very bland this, although it escapes me how snakeskin Docs, a teal paisley silk scarf, and a teal leather jacket can be bland. I even put the scarf in my hair midway through the day, but not even my trademark hippy headband could save the day.
2: Husband's brown cashmere pullover worn over one of his long sleeved button downs. Worn with the maroon trousers here. Next day I wore the exact same two tops with the mini-flare jeans from the previous outfit, and I liked that iteration much better, but didn't get a pic.
3: Husband's chunky ribbed black turtleneck worn with black skinnies. I had envisioned this with the knee high boots, but I am so.damn.over skinnies tucked into knee high boots that I wore my short black Edwardian booties instead with the teal leather jacket for outerwear and purple accessories (purple handwarmers, "amethyst" long necklace and real amethyst baroque earrings). I felt very weird and self-conscious in this getup today but looking at the pics, it may be the best of the lot?
Thanks for looking, suggestions for improvement welcome.
