Experience with Twice

Someone had posted recently about the resale site Twice. Intrigued, I sent them 19 of my gently used/rarely worn "retired" items about two weeks ago. Got an offer today for about $60 ($80 if I used store credit)- probably about what I would have gotten at a B&M resale shop. They took 15 of the items - (2 were worn, 1 stained (?), and 1 had a hole (thanks GAP- I wore that shirt once!). So - a great result for my purposes.

Has anyone else used them (and I am not a promoter for this site- just someone who feels a bit self-conscious in resale shops and likes the anonymity of an online reseller).

I think E? Although maybe just to buy? Several others recently posted about Twice.

Thanks for this info! I read about Twice here and promptly signed up. I ordered a bag and sent it off with 23 items just about a week ago; waiting to hear from them now.

About twice a year I take better items to a local consignment shop and have done well there, but it's inconvenient both to drop off and return later pick up a check for items sold -- limited hours that don't match my schedule. I liked the idea of anonymity with Twice as well as the convenience.

I used them last month. Got $26 for 4 items, 2 were not accepted. One item was a NWT silk dress, so that's likely the bulk of my payout. I'm happy with the service. If I find myself with a bulk of items I don't want to deal with eBay selling I will definitely use Twice again. I agree payout is on par with resale shops. And how easy to stuff a bag and ship it out, free!

Nice to see others have had good experiences. I agree the convenience is worth it- plus the resale shops here seem to like the higher end stuff (which I don't have) and reject most of the brands I do purchase (BR, GAP, Lost, AT, Talbot's etc).

I've used them to sell several times. In fact I currently have a bag at home waiting for me to fill and send in. I haven't gotten huge amounts but more than I would get from Goodwill. There are only a couple of consignment shops here that I am aware of and it's just too inconvenient to use them. I love the ease of Twice.

That's good to know! I recently tried them for the first time, but buying instead of selling. I'm not sure I could sell; I have some of the brands they like in my 'clear out' pile, but since I bought them secondhand, even if they're in pristine condition, I have no clue if they're within the 5 year time limit.

I haven't bought or sold with Twice. I have with ThredUP. If anyone had tried both I'd love to hear the comparison.

Got my email from Twice after I posted this morning. I sent 23 items, a mix of Theory, Gap, BR, Brooks Brothers, J Crew. And two Kut bf jeans that I should have returned to the Rack, tags still on. They took 19 and offered me $100. The four rejected were all Theory and rejected as stained. Whatever, they would have all gone to Goodwill. No longer my style / colors. I took the payment rather than store credit although the first-time user promo is a generous additional $30 if you take store credit. I'm just not interested in shopping randomly. I have enough clothes, trying to clean out and minimize.

Haven't tried ThredUp.

How do they pay you?
Would not be interested in stored credit or a PPal

Chadya- I asked for a check (and they email confirmed that it had been mailed)- I will post if it doesn't come. You get more if you opt for store credit but I opted for the check- I do not need to buy more things!

Chadya, they will do paypal or a check, or store credit. If you opt for store credit you get a bonus; I think it's 30% more. I've always done paypal, since it's easy to cash out or use for some other online purchase.
