Everlane jeans - great fit, but zero stretch

I am wearing these Everlane Super Soft Summer Jeansand they fit as well as any jean I have ever worn - very good on my curvy shape. I just am struggling with the 100% cotton part - as I sit here right now, the backs of my knees feel constricted. At least, I am aware of these jeans on the backs of my knees. I guess I am so used to the extra stretchiness in the fabric of almost every single thing I own now that these feel very different. They do stretch a little - as 100% cotton does - as I wear them. I am just aware of them....

I took a size down from my current Gap/BR size (28 S). These are a 27. I did try the 28 and while it felt better on the backs of my knees, they were too big overall.

My inclination was to replicate, but not sure if I'll keep another pair.

I love your VOTE necklace and jeans without stretch that can be dried in the drier. I like the fit and color of those jeans too.

All looks good - great fit on jeans!
I used to spray water on some parts of new jeans and gently tug and stretch ( or not so gently ) and let it dry naturally/hanging. It helped to make jeans more comfortable.
P.S. I can't do 100% cotton denim - same problem with my knees but stronger reaction.

Wow, those fit your fab figure so well! I love non-stretchy jeans but really only in the boy friend style or straight legs otherwise I find them kind of binding. Thanks for the review. Necklace is awesome!

Those look like a great fit for sure. I like stretch in jeans, just don't like to feel constrained. But I bet you'll get used to these in no time.

They look fantastic on you. I am tempted to order a pair for myself. I had a pair of 100% cotton jeans that I wore damp. It helped with the knees part. They do soften over time.

Angie and other 100% cotton fans - I will keep you posted. The jeans, as the day goes on, feel fabulous when I stand up and walk around. They've stretched quite a bit.

I think they're more of a mid-rise, but I'm very short-waisted.

I can only tolerate non-stretchy jeans if they are sized up and roomy, and roomy on my big thighs is a rare thing. Sooo, I end up with jeans with at least some degree of stretch.

I think these look great and easy on you, and I LOVE the necklace.

These look great. I haven’t worn 100% cotton jeans since the 90s 501 era. I think it would shock me to wear them now too. But I do remember liking my 501s a lot, so I suspect it’s just a question of what you are used to.

Glad they are feeling better now that you spritzed some water back there, because the fit is perfect.

Isn’t it funny what we get used to? I have jeans from 10 & 25 years ago without a bit of stretch—never would have thought of it then!
I agree with others that as you wear these, they will conform to your body and become really “yours”—perfect if you like a slightly broken-in kind of look.

UPDATE: I had ordered same jeans in bone and grey (on sale). I am wearing the grey ones with tags still on and, while I am aware that I am wearing a fabric without stretch, I do not feel that behind the knee constriction nearly as much as with the blue denim. I laid the jeans on top of each other and they appear to be cut identically. Grey pair also says "no-stretch" fabric on the label, but must be more forgiving. Will do same experiment with bone.

After 2 days in a row of wearing the blue denim, theystretched out quite a lot, looking more like a boyfriend jean. Waist is still a perfect fit. Need to see what happens after the 2nd wash. Inclined to air dry.
