Beth Ann nailed it - that is so totally true. Sometimes wearing clothes that are familiar and fun is just about the only thing that motivates me to get out the door when I'm having a very down week.
It's actually not been awful; just very stressful and busy because half of my team members are out of the office, and I have not got to half of the items on my to-do list. This will be the case for the next couple weeks. I'm kind of dreading going in.
Janet, that version sounds lovely! Is it still online? I'd love to see it on you.
Natalie, that is one of the sweetest things anyone has said to me all month. You are making me smile all over, especially since you're an enormous inspiration to me as well! Hehe, I'll bet I subconsciously remembered your outfit but just couldn't think of where I saw it.
Misvee, it's totally okay not to love that shape of blouse. It took me literally years to like voluminous shapes on other people, and then to realize it could look flattering on curvier, larger frames, and only this year did I ever try it! I still don't think that every (or most) voluminous, blouson piece works on me, but I do like the shape of these pieces. Rest assured that waist-defining, figure-hugging, pencil skirt shapes are probably always going to be a part of my style - it's just that I now feel comfortable mixing in a different silhouette once in a while.
