It’s hard for me to find a place and time for photos, but I snapped a few recently. The theme here is Eileen Fisher. The pandemic has not been kind to my waistline. Menopause hasn’t helped, either. My pants are all uncomfortable and weight loss has been slow. So I’ve purchased some EF clothes to put together some outfits that are forgiving on my waistline but still make me feel appropriately put together when I’ve left the house. I do find her clothes accommodate weight fluctuations nicely.

1 and 2: The black dress is part of the System collection, and I bought it on sale. I wore it out for a first post-Vax dinner with friends last week. I kept the denim jacket on for most of the outdoor dinner because the dress felt too body-con even though it skims the bits and blobs pretty well. I find the fabric very cool and it has washed really well (gentle, line dry). I’ll probably take it on vacation later this summer and wear it with sneakers/birks. I debated shortening it but haven’t bothered yet.

3: The navy cropped pants and swing top are workhorses for me. Wore out with an old white denim jacket. The top is longer in the back.

4: Same navy top with a VC tube skirt. I just can’t quit those skirts LOL.

5: This EF dress is linen with a small checked print. It’s new but I’ve cut the tags so I am keeping because it’s so comfortable in our humid weather. Trying it with a cross-body to add some structure. Is the length OK or is it skewing too house dress? JFE? There’s a generous hem so I could let it down but this is close to the length shown on the model. I’d probably wear different footwear, either flat sandals or Ecco sneakers. The sleeves can be turned up, too.

Thoughts, suggestions for improvement? Finds aren’t working for me.
