The Outfit

How serendipitous that Angie's Fri. ensemble was about festive separates and had the colors I'd be wearing! The skirt has a burgundy slip with black overlay, and it was an exact match for a pretty button-down I already had (the fabric has a nice sheen to it and there are fabric flowers on one side). I tried to get a good pic, but neither one turned out very well

The Event and Reasons for Festive Separates

My MIL's boyfriend volunteers with our local Hospice, and every year we attend a gala to benefit the Joan Nicole Prince Home, a wonderful place where hospice patients can go in their final days. The dress for women ranges from easy festive separates to ball gowns. I always go the festive separates route since 1) I don't want to spend $$$ on a ball gown that I'll wear once a year, 2) I like to wear something different every year, and 3) I'll likely wear this again to a holiday concert in Dec.
