Easy Chinos Ensemble

Hello, lovely people, long time no see.
Angie's last post inspired me to share 2 chinos + breton top ensembles I've worn lately.
I understand the word "chinos" broadly as : any S/S trousers that are not denim.
I'm less into cropped jeans this Spring - probably because I'm not fond of their current version : culottes - so I've turned to cotton trousers, and found them more comfy.

How nice to see you here again, Skylurker! Both outfits are great, but I especially like the second one. The combination of cropped pants is ankle straps is lovely and really suits you.

I like the pants in 1--they're still a little cropped, I'd say.

Your new messy hair is Killer, Isabelle.

LOVE your stripes - great neckline on #2. You are sooo long in the leg that #1 passes for flattering. Good dark hems with dark shoes look.

Casually elegant, comfortable, simple, and relaxed in a thoughtful way - as always. FABULOUS.

I had the hairdresser cut bangs, he was dead against it because he said bangs need to be coiffed - and he knows I don't even bother to comb my hair - but I insisted and here I am with messy bangs.
As for the ankle strap shoes with cropped pants trick, I learned it here from Angie, of course.

Angie : ha. Amazing how you can remember what all your clients and YLFers wear. I usually wear the blush stripe with the blush jeans, yes!
I only put on #1 outfit this weekend because the blush jeans were in the laundry. The colour combo is good, the proportions enlight my short waist though - but I think it's JFE for a weekend outfit - I'll post a pic for you when the jeans are dry

There's nothing like a versatile stripe. I'm into them too. In fact - striped tops are addictive, and I added quite a few more this year. I don't tire of them.

Oh Isabelle, it's so wonderful to see you again (I've thought of you often). You are looking as lovely as ever, and I am really loving your "new hair". Both outfits are beautiful, I love the proportions, the Breton tees (of course and the relaxed vibe.

I'm addicted to breton tops. I buy a few every S/S. Can't resist them.
But their wide boatnecks don't look so good on me, so I've made lots of mistakes in my shopping of stripes.
I'm glad I've found #2 because it's a "permanent" item of the brand and I will be able to duplicate.
(In case Inge is interested : it's the Ilma model from Marimekko - good cotton, wash well).

Thanks Lisa, they're more comfy and breezy than denim for summer, aren't they ? Problem is, it's hard to find chinos that are not : cheap cotton ; khaki ; too wide.
