Below are a few early fall outfits.

My hair is having difficulty holding color at the roots when I touch it up with direct dye or Overtone. The growout since my last salon color at the beginning of the year has never had more than direct dye on it so the hair cuticle is extra fine/oily/healthy, and then my bangs get extra light from sun exposure. Pic 7 shows how a fresh color looks, but it fades quite quickly.

I felt kind of silly with this multicolored hair, but then a couple weeks ago when I was out and about, I got 3 out of the blue compliments from strangers about my color. Maybe it reads as ombré or deliberately trying to get a rose/strawberry color on top even if it’s accidental. Right now, if it’s working, I’m going to roll with it.

1-2: For a concert. Universal Standard black mesh top over a black camisole, resin zippered jeans, gold Frye oxfords, rose gold collar necklace.

3-4: For a ballet performance. Eliza J navy blue dress with ruffle detail, blue and emerald velvet pumps, pale gold envelope clutch, silver cuff bracelet, faux-rhinestone and pearl necklace on a velvet cord.

5-6: For a short trip and a dinner with friends. Mossy green jeans, black elbow-length sleeve tee with voluminous drapey fabric, silver pendant necklace, pewter oxfords, medium wash denim jacket.

7: A night out with husband and friends. Cropped front slit resin jeans, satin-backed twill top with ruffle detail, light gold envelope clutch, rose gold thin pendant necklaces, rose gold low-heeled mules.
