I know, it's a bunch, but mostly remixes.

I've been in a black-and-denim mode for the past few weeks--fast fallback outfits that I don't have to really think about. I'm finding I like having just enough variety and pattern in my closet to be able to play when I want to, but not so much that I can't select from a comfortable collection of "I just want to wear black today" options.

Also! My new sandals came and I love them. So comfortable! (And not a minute too soon. It hit 100° here both yesterday and today.)

Are the new sandals the black ones in the last pic? Very nice! Do they have a back strap?- I can’t tell.
How are what I think of as your “Sarah Connor” sandals in pic 6 holding out?

Gosh, Jenn, looking as cool as ever! The new sandals look terrific, too. These may be fast fall backs, but they have a lot of style and variety. So nicely done! I am really liking that lantern shape leg on you, in #9 (a jumpsuit, maybe?).

Jenni NZ, I added a Find for the new sandals to the initial post. They do have a back strap. I have a really hard time wearing anything without one! The Sarah Connor sandals are…okay. I had to
glue them early on, but the repair has held up. I also don’t think they’re as comfortable as they once were, but they’re at 66 wears, so maybe to be expected?

Firecracker, #9 is cotton pants from Gudrun Sjoden and a linen wrap top. I love that they make a 2-piece jumpsuit together.

slim cat, the skirt in #10 has been a problem child in my wardrobe forever. It was a gift and I love it, but I find it really hard to wear, so it's been an orphan more often than not.

rachylou, I am so unhip for my neighborhood I can't even pretend!

Suz, oh goodness no! The last outfit was from today, but I didn't include yesterday's because I spent the day on the beach. And before that, it was comfortably in the upper-60s/low 70s!

Chewyspaghetti, those pants also make a good jumpsuit-y outfit with the top in #7 for something even breezier.

All very fun, but #5 has my heart. Love the texture of the tights, especially with the weathered leather of the boots (I'm Team Broken-in Shoes all the way), and the colour of that mug makes it the perfect accessory.

Jenn, #5 with the diamond pattern black tights and plaid dress caught my eye, it’s a fun and subtle way to pattern mix and add texture as well.

Bijou, I think it will be really nice to have those lightweight fabric sandals for things like pools and the beach.

kkards, I saw an article a while back about how the US is basically split between flood and drought right now. No one's weather is normal.

LaPed, I like pairing the beat-up boots with more feminine things like lace and dresses.

Jaime, I do think I'm going to have to expand my closet a bit this summer. These hot days threw me for a loop!

Zaeobi, the dress/tunic in #5 is my comfort clothing, for sure. It's one of the things I reach for when I know I'm in for a long day.

Staysfit, I totally didn't think of that as pattern-mixing, but you're absolutely right! I think the Sanuks are going to fill a niche for me...they're not great for major walking, but perfect to easily slip on and off at the beach.

JAileen, hah! Most of these are stills grabbed from short videos I post on Instagram each morning, so they're kind of random expressions rather than posed.

kellygirl, thanks! I've been sorely tempted to add a few more colors recently, so maybe that'll happen this summer, especially as some older pieces leave taking color ranges with them.

Thank you, Stagiaire Fash. We don't have a lot of tights weather here, so I have to take advantage of the days when they come!
