I admit I did feel pretty fuzzily huggable that day! Moreover, I wore something maybe not all that mainstream for a simple lunch and errands and didn't care if or what anyone thought of it. Did I mention a certain mid-life shift happening with me?! ha ha.
I did get the grocery checking job, and it's barely above minimum wage but it offers benefits at only 30 hours per week minimum so that is the real driving force behind choosing it. And the hours. Basically from noon to sunset. No more waiting around until dinner hour to go to work.
I do still have the banquets at the golf course, and some weeks I'm working 6 days between the two jobs. Still have not been back to the pizza parlor but technically I think I still work there lol.
All this to say, my day to day life is different than it's ever been. I rarely see my pub colleagues but maybe twice a month. That's okay. Sometimes life shifts. I have gone on a couple of runs with one gal and that's been nice. I think when the weather warms everyone will 'come out to play' and I'll be seeing more friends and socializing more. Guess as we all grow up we just splinter off in our separate ways a little bit more and more.
Mainly, the new job(s) entail a stricter uniform than either the pub or pizza did. Black pants and uniform top. Period. Probably half the reason I'll wear whatever the heck I want on my off time, hee hee.
I'll try and pop in a bit more regularly now that I feel a bit more on even keel.
