Dressing My Curves

I feel that shorts are really the hardest thing to style with my curvy body... Not wanting to be beat or cut them out of my style, after all I live in a beach commnunity, I liked this look I wore yesterday...
It's all about balancing out my hips with the kimono... I actually tried on several outfits yesterday before deciding on this one.. I was so proud of myself , then in looking trhough my archives discovered I'd worn something very close to it last Summer..LOL.
Of course last Summer was hot and humid and I wore my hair back and don't like that look at all...My Second look is on my blog as the photo was in my blog media files...

You look great in shorts. Maybe I missed something earlier, and it's the kimono top that makes it. That top is great.

You are absolutely glowing in this photo and my eye cannot help but be drawn back and back again to your shiny hair, smile, and sunglasses. So lovely. I do think the color of the blouse and shorts are highly complementary to your skin/hair color so are reinforcing that, and drawing eye up to YOU.

The only thing I wasn't sure about was the bag -- I'd never have thought to pair that bag with that outfit, as that bag (on its own) looks heavy and reads more fall or business to me. But somehow it works here, I think because of the color in the band of the kimono top around the waist.

Really, to my eyes, you have quite mastered all the details.

I concur with everyone else, I love... LOVE that kimono on you. And you've got an amazing smile. Oh... Can we all please have a closeup of those flats. It looks like your flats have a print. Oh and I have to tell you that those colors look fantastic on you!
