Thank you all for the astute comments! It's so fun to share this with a community that's attuned to style.
Rachylou, I have played a few instruments but would not call myself a musician. I am, however, a huge lover of real music by real musicians. About wearing the heart bracelet, yes, I have stabbed myself multiple times while typing. Love hurts.
And you too can channel Prince with this easy formula (anyone remember Angie's fabulous formula dressing?). Pants + flowy top + dramatic topper + necklace + sunglasses (and bonus if you can add a hat!).
Bonnie, I am excited that you're following along! Let me know what you think.
Suntiger, my wardrobe is horribly short on ruffled shirts. Must rectify that.
AJ, what are OOTDs?
Taylor, Prince was fortunate to have people making his clothing! And agree that his style was a huge reason why he became a pop icon.
Mtnsofthemoon, a like-minded, Prince-loving soul! He is endlessly inspiring to me too.
Suz, it's easy to imagine you channeling a 19th century poet! You would rock it.
Angie, right on! Got to have fun with fashion! The delicate and subtle mirror heart will go down in history as my most eye-catching wardrobe pet.
Style Fan, it sure is interesting wearing a stage prop around town. Ha!
Shevia, you know those Valentine's Day conversation hearts? This heart is like a giant conversation starter and a literal way to wear my heart on my sleeve. When Prince wore it onstage, I believe it was his way of reflecting love out to us but also in a symbiotic way, having our love reflected right back to him too.
