Back in January when Angie shared that great post about choosing a color and word for the year, I mentioned that I've been working on a writing project on my blog, lauratiebert.com, called Crazy Amazing: The Year of Living Like a Prince. Each month, I'm making like a purple guinea pig and test-driving something that Prince did that I think made him successful. I'm now on my second month and since it involves fashion I thought I'd share an update.

February's theme is called "Dressing the Part." I've challenged myself to dress up daily (Prince famously dressed well all the time, even at home) and choose a symbol for myself, just like Prince made a symbol for himself. (I chose a heart).

So far the experiment is a big success and I don't think Fabbers will be surprised to know that I'm finding that I'm living proof of "enclothed cognition" as Angie mentions on the blog today - if you are dressed appropriately for a job, you perform better -- and you walk a little taller!

Here are a few of my outfits in February along with the heart mirror bracelet I've been wearing as my symbol (it's a replica of a bracelet Prince wore on stage in the 80s). It's not practical but I love it. Ha!

And do let me know if you have any suggestions for Princely outfits ... I know I need to work on adding more purple to my wardrobe!
