I'm only 24 and have really visible spider veins -one of them, next to my knee, looks like a bruise, so you can see them from afar (say 3 or 4 metres away). I decided i wouldn't let it bother me. I look my best in dresses and tight jeans -any jeans are tight on my thighs since I'm an hourglass- only make te problem worse anyways. Yes, they are visible but so what. Nobody really stares, and if they do, well, shame on them. I'll get them treated eventually, I guess, since I know that at some point they will look so bad that they will look unhealthy (mom is proof of that, whose both parents have really bad blood circulation), but in the meantime... the h*** with it.
You look stunning in that hot pink dress, tall, slim and elegant and proportionate. Don't let anyone -nor youself- tell you otherwise.
PS: I also have hyperkeratosis and folliculitis, which all together form a somewhat uneven combination of textures and colors. Oh, and stretchmarks and old scars from all my childood falls and bruises and picking hairs from underneath my skin... yeah. Most women probably wouldn't dare show their legs in such a state -actually received 'surprise comments' from female friends on that- but... it's really not my fault they are not perfect, is it?
Think about it, would you stop wearing sleveless or short sleeved tops just because you had 'ugly' arms, even in the heat of the desert? Would you stop wearing sandals just because you had ugly nails or feet with any sort of deformation? Would you cover your entire face just because you had a pimple on the tip of your nose? Some things you just can't help. Period.
