This is not the first dress I've worn in the last few days, but it's the first I've had time to photograph. Casual dresses in the summer are for me FFBOs that I grab when I'm running late and don't have time to think about an outfit, much less photographing it!
Anyway, I'm wearing this today for work and then for a birthday dinner in the evening. The black and white dress is something I picked up last summer at the Rack. It's not the best quality but it's an easy, fun dress for summer. I paired it with my new denim jacket from the Gap - it's a replacement for an old, slightly too small one. I really like this one - a classic shape but not too long or boxy, 100% cotton, and can be worn with both dresses/skirts and trousers.
(As an aside, I'm quite liking Gap this season! I hadn't bought anything but underwear for them for over a year, but found several great items when I went there recently - this denim jacket, the white eyelet shell, and the joggers that were an Angie pick a little while back.)
