Dress challenge #3 : Skirt day

Slightly different today and not exactly a dress. I pulled out a skirt after ages, to wear to work from home and running around for some errands later. At home though, I'm barefoot with my hair in a messy bun

pic 1: A jersey faux wrap skirt that I've been playing around with. Still figuring what colours I could wear on top apart from black. Gun metal flats to finish it off. The goofy smile is because I tucked a top in after maybe 10 years and didn't care that the side view was far from flattering Felt happy and comfortable. A mini body image victory!
pic 2: A beloved ring that always adds a little magic to a mundane day.
pic 3: My hair was really being kind to me today and I thought it deserved it's own picture

Love it, and I have hair envy!
Two color prints seem trickier as far as pairings, since they seem to just work with the two in the print or maybe white. Do you have any other pieces in different prints with cobalt and black? I'm thinking maybe a bag.

Thanks for the sweet comments Column, kellygirl,Sara L. and JAileen ! suntiger thank you for the compliments and suggestions. The problem is the colour of top part of the skirt isn't really cobalt but a mix of cobalt and pale blue and purple and the bottom bit is a dusty blue. Very tricky! White and grey tops would work, but they look terrible on me I did try a maroon/wine one and I think it might work!

Rain, you are so pretty in your cobalt and black outfit! What gorgeous curls, too. I love the skirt. And since black suits you, why not just wear black tops. You could also wear white, maybe? With other white/light accessories, of course.

I’m not one to give advice on colour mixing but I’d try it with a deep green (like the motifs on the door behind you).

You look absolutely gorgeous in that outfit, and your hair IS deserving of its own photo! What about blue/purple tops that would pull out one of the shades of blue in the skirt?
