I am one week behind on the dress challenge, but decided to do the challenge and post because this challenge was made for me. I love dresses! They really are my uniform. Yes I wear skirts and tops, pants and jeans, but my true love is a good dress.
Angie posed the question - why do you wear dresses? For me, that is easy:
- A one and done solution
- I find dresses and skirts easy to fit - not the case with pants
- I like wearing dresses and hosiery, to me they are comfortable
- I live in a temperate climate, dresses are not too cold, even in winter
- I get enough variation to keep me happy with my collection of dresses
- I like accessorising my dresses, it changes things up
Monday (picture 1) - Cue black floral dress recently shortened, black boots, scarf with a Carla Zampatti cropped cape jacket. Worn with sunglasses and black bag. I had a busy day at work, meeting with clients but mainly in the office.
Tuesday (picture 2) - red Karen Millen dress (new), red shoes and bag. I had to give a presentation to about 60 clients, so it was nice to wear a bright colour. Worn with my faux fur jacket (not shown, but in Finds) not at the presentation - the dress was warm enough. This dress was a real surprise because Karen Millen is a label that normally does not fit me particularly well. I have mixed success - but just the colour of this dress (and the fact that it was on sale) I just had to give it a try.
Picture 3 - Street scape in Subiaco - the suburb where I work and live. This is a typical winter's day if it is not raining. We have endless blue skies and lots of sunshine even in winter. It is beautiful, but also why Australia has the highest incidence of skin cancer world wide - so sunscreen is a necessity.
