Carla's recent post with her red outfits was a cheery reminder that spring is coming and maybe bright colour can speed it along. Until I saw her red pants outfit, I thought I had missed my chance to wear these pants. They are lined, so moderately warm, but their length and relative width (they are straight, only the perspective makes them look tapered) means they see very little wear in boot season.
I topped it with my navy dotted sweater with 3/4 sleeves (another item that hibernates in the dead of winter). As I was leaving my closet, this red and navy scarf called to me from the door, begging to tie the pieces together. Remembering Joy's lineup of scarves, I gave in.
Super varied footwear today. Photo is taken with my navy Clarks heeled shooties, which I wore throughout most of the office day. But I wore my LLBean duck boots to navigate my muddy driveway and walk the Waterfowl Park before office. And I changed into black loafers for my walk on town sidewalks to the hospital at noon. I brought some athletic sneakers too (a sure sign of spring!) but didn't like the effect; I wish I had black ones. Still wondering how best to navigate my walks when it's no longer boots every day.
