It was another shower-driven choice and I decided to wear my J. Crew Tuxedo-stripe Andie Chinos with my DÔEN Henri blouse in black (I also have a duplicate in “salt”), my gold Vionic sneakers, and a Robert Rose choker. I sometimes ponder if I should leave the blouse out and untucked. Actually, it comes out on its own because it’s fairly short so that happens naturally. It’s another casual day and I’m off to do some errands. Thank you for looking.

WOW, LJP, Carla, and Dee, you have really lifted my spirits immensely with your comments. I truly mean that (and by the way, how do you get the names in bold? I have tried several ways to do this and I can never figure it out).

I usually wear this with a black tee or even a white tee and I have contemplated wearing it with a Uniqlo button-down shirt. But now I think you’ve made me feel pretty good about my selection.

My mom has been on hospice for a while and is really doing poorly this week. She is 95, however, being on the edge of losing my mom is a really fragile thing for me at the moment, especially with things that are going on at home. So your words of affection for my outfit really made my day. Truly!!! Thank you each and every one of you! Big love coming your way, because your kindness means the world to me.

Do you have a preference for it being tucked or untucked?

Great outfit! I surprise myself by liking the beautiful blouse tucked - it looks good untucked also, but tucked gives the look more "friction" with the feminine blouse I think.

Love the tuxedo stripe on these pants. The sleeve detail on the top is really pretty. And the new gold sneakers are a perfect pairing for this outfit. I'd wear this outfit in a heartbeat, just send it to me!

I like the untucked version because it's more casual for a vibe which works well for this outfit. But the tucked version is good for showing off a belt. Sometimes I front tuck to see a bit of belt.

I sympathize with your mom and hospice. It's a crummy situation, sending hugs your way.

Vicki, what a super fab outfit. I love how you've paired the beautiful blouse, with its touches of frill, with a track-striped chino and sneakers. A pretty, polished, casual look that suits you so well. I like the blouse tucked with the belt, for that added bit of polish, but it also looks terrific tucked out. I am a sucker for a tuxedo stripe, and I also love an outfit with creative tension, which I see in the juxtaposition of your romantic blouse (I prefer it tucked) with the tailored feel of the pant, and then the gold sneakers pop while being appropriate to the overall look. It’s pretty, tailored, sporty and very modern. I’d copy this in a heartbeat if I had the pieces,
