There are a lot of threads lately on body shape and working with what you've got. I'm all for that. There are lots of items I choose because they emphasize something I like, or minimize something I'm not so wild about. But sometimes, I decide I'm just going to own it. For example, I quite often wear shoes that are dead flat. I look way better with a little heel because I'm really short (and plus, even a smallish heel makes your calves look nice), but there are many styles of shoe that look better to my eye as flats -- sandals especially, but also fashion sneakers and certain types of boots. Then of course there's the walkability factor. So I've decided that although flats do nothing to "help", some days I'm just going to go with my small stature and wear them. People can tell I'm short. Why hide it?

I've seen very tall women wear towering heels, and I always think, "that's right, you're tall -- own it!". I'd do the same. You don't have to wear high heels every day, but if you feel like wearing them, why shy away?

Do you have something that's outside of the average that you sometimes choose to emphasize?
