Do you have Casual Fridays and if so, what do you wear?

I'm curious about the range:)

I tend to wear dress pants, dresses and skirts to work M-Th. I'm usually one of the more dressed up people in the building. Fridays in the schools are extremely casual though and most teaching staff are *very* relaxed. Think jeans, sneakers and a t-shirt/sweatshirt with the school logo.

I'm not about to go that casual as 1. I'm not teaching staff and 2. IMO, that's too casual for work. But I do exploit Fridays to wear things I'd not otherwise wear to work, like the photo below.

What do you wear on casual days?

Your casual Friday wear is my everyday wear to work. I wear mostly jeans with the occasional dress. (I only have one skirt and it's denim). In the cooler months I am favoring blazers with scarves or chunky knits and boots, to the knee tucked into jeans or cowboy boots.

Summer months I wore a lot more dresses since reading YLF and cardigans. A cropped jacket is on my spring wish list.

My office I see it all, right now Uggs and sweatshirts are common which is driving me batty!

Friday is my day off so it's an "anything goes" day. All my work days are intensely casual - it is something I am getting used to.

I love that outfit, Beth! We don't have an official Friday casual day but sometimes I declare my own by wearing something that's more business casual than business formal. Like a skirt and cardi instead of a suit!

That would be my Monday to Friday and I'm a teacher. I wear dress jeans with a shirt and boots. Mind you it depends on the school...one school I worked at, I never wore jeans ( I suppose because it was a bit posh)

I'm in a dressier business casual place where Friday is "jeans day." My usual formula is to swap in one "more casual" piece and keep the rest stuff I wear M-Th.

Often it's an item I'll wear on the weekend with a few key changes.In the pics attached, I wear the stripey cardigan with a denim pencil vs black dress pants.

But then instead of wearing the fuzzy purple sweater with my weekend grey denim skirt, I pair it with a tropical wool grey pencil (and a L/S grey layering T). The boots work for both work and play.

Some people wear jeans through the week but I notice my bosses limit jeans to Fridays so I do the same. I wear jeans but then I try to wear something structured on top like a cotton jacket or dress shirt. I'm hoping for a promotion in the next few months, so when in doubt I try to keep it dressier rather than sloppier.

This Friday I wore bootcut jeans, ankle boots, a cardigan, a colorful silk scarf and earrings. I think I would have felt better with a jacket, but the silk scarf gave it a little polish.

I have completely opposite situation... my work environment is quite casual, at times too much really. But, my previous workplaces have left me with the habit of formal Mon-Th + casual Friday (which I currently don't even work as I stay home with my son), so I still dress that way. I need that separation for myself, work clothes - casual time clothes.

My casual Fridays normally meant one denim piece (jacket, waistcoat or trousers), or linen in the summer.

My work place is extremely casual so everyone pretty much wears jeans all the time. I have even seen some women come in sweat pants/ yoga pants!

Our daily dress code is billed as "business casual" but in actuality is really more smart casual. Sometimes I'll see people in jeans and tee shirts, but more typically it is jeans & a woven top or sweater. I used to feel like one of the dressier people in my department but feel like others are dressing up a bit more.
When I feel like dressing "smart casual" rather than "business casual", these are some of the outfits I've worn.

We do have casual Fridays, but its pretty much a joke, since the guys are all pretty casual every day. Its only the managers who really step away from the dress pants and ties and into jeans on Fridays. For everyone else, it means swapping out the polos for sports jerseys....

Personally, I often find myself wanting to dress up more on Fridays than on other days...something about the end of the week gets me in the mood to wear dresses and skirts...

You casual Friday outfit is gorgeous. I am still kicking myself for not picking up that tunic at the last NAS sale...its so lovely on everyone I've seen in it...

I worked in a business casual office that allowed jeans on Fridays. I would typically wear jeans with a top plus some kind of blazer or other jacket. Like others, I didn't want my top to look too casual, since I was already wearing jeans. I always wore heels with my jeans, because I felt that made them look dressier, and I always wore my dark wash jeans in straight leg or boot cut.

My boyfriend also works in a business casual office that allows jeans on Fridays and he always wears his jeans with a long-sleeved button-down shirt and nicer shoes. (For the male perspective.)

Funny, I work at home and can theoretically wear what I want, and I've been starting to limit jeans-wear to Fridays or the weekends; makes it feel more like I'm *working* somehow. Although I still wear my dark trouser jeans the rest of the week sometimes, because I think they read more as pants than jeans.

In my old workplace we'd do trouser jeans or nice dark jeans on Fridays, except for the summer, which since it was a university was less formal in general; we could have worn jeans probably, but it was usually too hot.

Jobs before that were at software startups, so mostly people wore what the hell ever they wanted; engineers were the most dressed down usually.
