Late to this one! And I haven't read the already 108 comments... yet!
I read your post when you posted it a couple of day back and needed to think about it. Having thought about it... I still not sure. It appears that we probably all have different definitions of 'pretty'.
Certainly if someone were to comment that I look pretty I would take it as a compliment. Some of you have kindly said that on some of my posts and it ws lovely to read as I don't really think of myself as pretty. As I type I realise that part of my definition of pretty is 'young' and 'soft' and 'delicate' looking!!?!? Miranda Kerr is "pretty". So for me being called 'pretty' is like being referred to as a 'young lady' ... Im 48 so I choose to take both as a compliment
I wouldn't say I aim for pretty. I do aim for attractive. I know that we have spoken about this type of thing before in relation to our style but I would say I aim for attractive, interesting, capable and approachable. But it is all so subjective. The other day I was wearing an all black outfit that I thought looked pretty edgy... and a lovely elderly lady I know commented on how lovely and elegant I looked... it's all in the eye of the beholder.
