I'm up to my old tricks. I've been looking at these sandals on my fave shoe shop website all summer. I don't need them. I really love their colours though, they are just so me. I finally tried them on 2 weekends ago when they were 20% off the sale price so were down from original $170 to $111. They seemed to fit beautifully and were comfy in the shop. I walked away... because you know, I already have 8 pairs of flat summer sandals? Plus mid-heeled summer sandals, plus one pair high-heeled left that are comfy.

My minimalist side would say, no, you do not need the umpteenth pair of sandals. But these sandals are gorgeous and I bet that they will put a smile on your face. I vote catch them!

That is exactly the kind of situation I hate. The price is very interesting, the shoes are comfortable, really beautiful and, for what I've seen, are perfectly in line with your style.
If I were in your situation, i.e. if I would not need such shoes but could afford them, I know I would buy them. But I'm definitely not the wisest when it comes to shoes!

They are really cute! A big sale is a huge plus, but if you really don’t need them, I vote for you to admire them from afar. Whenever I came home and was excited about getting a great bargain, my father would ask me, “How much money would you have saved if you hadn’t bought that?” He had a really good point.

I’m no help because I have the problem of “ splitting wears” unless the new item makes an older item ( or better, 2 items) obsolete and I can cull- say, something was marginally comfortable or showing wear. Or the new item “ makes” an outfit out of items I’d been struggling to figure out how to wear. Or to try a new style direction arcs good price.

They are cute, and definitely similar to other sandals you’ve posted. Do you have ideas for how/when you’d wear them? Are they replacing anything that’s nearly worn out? Are you going to feel guilty later on, about having added to your closet?

(Personally, I wouldn’t buy them, but that’s because I’ve learned that I’m much happier with a smaller wardrobe, And because of what Mainelady said.)

Super cute. I’m always for adding another pair of comfortable, colorful sandals. Sandals need more air out time and wear out more quickly than other shoes.

Well, I love them! They are SUPER cute. If they were comfy, I'd wear them a lot because I love a bright statement sandal and this has a low heel so it can be worn in lots of environments.

But, keep in mind, I've been looking (in vain) for "my" pair of bright sandals for 3 years now, so they are a HEWI for me. I have nice neutral sandals but no brights, and I want a bright pair. So I have sugar eye. If you already have a bright pair or two, would these fill another function?

I'm the girl that would buy them now to be a replacement for something that wears out in the future.

I should probably add that, due to the storage challenges in an RV, I'm also the girl who will forget she bought silver sneakers for when my grey ones wear out, then forget I have replacement silver sneakers (even after the grey ones wear out) and buy new silver sneakers. True story.

1. Do you have clothing pieces that would complement these?
2. Are any of your current summer sandals nearing the end of their lifespan?
3. Summer's nearing an end. Will you still love these next year?

I will be your shameless enabler. I fully endorse buying the right pieces on sale/off season and these are super cute. I like what Jenn says about renewing shoes, particularly if you wear sandals on the regular.

Ha! Just woken up to an extra 17 replies! Glad to see Angie's assessment that they fit in the toe box. Last year I had bought some black patent sandals which seemed to fit in the shop but when I posted them Angie said they didn't fit well there. And she's right, they are tight.
Kudos to Lisap for do I want the voice of reason or the devil on my shoulder! I think I hoped for both arguments to be put, which they have been. I'm not sure yet, I can afford these and love them, have some clothes they will go with and would love them next summer. But by next summer there may be lots more cute sandals! Hmmm...

Well, they're adorable and your sandal season is longer than mine! As Jenn and others have asked, are any of your current flat sandals on the way out? That is, could this be an opportunity to practice one-in one-out? And if you're not willing to part with anything in your current rotation to make room for these, then maybe they aren't worth it?

You have ten pairs of summer-worthy sandals, by the VoR's count.

Sometimes it's good just to let enough really be enough, and not buy something because you're tempted by a happy shiny at a reduced price. $80 here, $50 there, and suddenly you have spent a really nice weekend getaway's worth of money... on more shoes. That were a want, not a need.

This is a good time to go play in your closet, with what you already have, and take a moment to appreciate your other fabulous shoes.

And then close the window that's displaying the shoes, and spend that time you're obsessing over these sandals on something that is not "things-I-put-on-my-body"-related. Put on some music, dance around the house, read a fun paperback, do a small project, take a walk, etc.

Also, the name of the company is "Mischief", which should tell you something.

There is always going to be another really cute thing - pair of shoes, LBD, bag, whatever. Sometimes it's fun to admire and imagine, without getting out your pole and hooking the fish.

I don't think buying them is a terrible crime if you genuinely love them - and I think you will wear them. They are not quite an impulse buy and they are a good price and great style on you. November to April they would get worn - so up to six months a year.

On the other hand you don't need them as you are well stocked in this category.

It is head vs heart and I don't think either is a bad call - there will be more pretty sandals in the future if you miss out, but buying them is not going to break the bank.

You wear sandals most of the time Jenni, AND you are a shoe gal. I see no problem with 11 pairs if you love them and can store them.

I am not sure how your weather compares to ours but for me sandals are wearable for at least 6 months of the year (sometimes 8). So that's something to consider when thinking about how often you will wear them.
