They are lovely and look great on you, Jenni. I know you say you don't need them, but want them. I can see they are totally you, and would provide a lot of joy per wear. If they are comfortable, you can afford them, and have a place for them in your closet, go for them.

I'm a shoe gal so I understand your dilemma, but I would say "no" in this case. You don't need them and while they're considerably cheaper than at full price, they still too expensive (for me at least) for a fun pair of sandals that aren't needed.

Thank you Sara and everyone. LaBD, I didn't buy them yet, the pic was a try-on from 2 weekends ago. Having got out my love sandals for Valentine's Day and worn them the next day too, I'm wondering if they are too similar and I would split wears even more than usual. Below pics of both next to each other. Similar colours I am thinking. Will decide a bit later, still available.

Totally different colour scheme, imho. Do you wear denim in the summer? The “new” ones look like they’d be great with denim. But you need to feel you’d wear them, not me!

1. Not at all similar to your Valentines Day sandals.
2. You love shoes, so stop feeling guilty about it. I can tell you are frugal, caring and careful in every other way and I’m certain other people recognize that. So enjoy them! You wear them well and can afford them because they are on sale. You have wonderfully fun shoes. Celebrate that, don’t apologize. Your good fortune is something for others to aspire to not something creating jealousy or making anyone see you as frivolous.

I vote yes to the new shoes. Statement shoes are a signature style for you (I think your LOVE shoes are spectacular and so much fun) - and these are sufficiently different. You have picked a sandal that is timeless in style and has beautiful colours, so this does not look like a sandal that will be languishing in your wardrobe unworn.
