Interesting post for me. At the start of that decade I moved into a climate I’d never lived in before. I was miserable. Two thirds of the way through the decade, I stumbled upon YLF, where people introduced the idea of reworking my daily wear to suit the climate. That was a real eye-opener for me. Ironically, now that I’m living in a climate that’s comfortable for me, I see things like gladiator sandals that could have been my “boots” in Florida winter and feel nostalgic.
TL/DR: there was weirdness going on with my attire in that decade.
Wedge Sneakers Nope. Not for me
skinny jeans. Yes! Bought some just before leaving Florida, and they still seem a good choice.
Athleisure Love it.
Tiny sunglasses Nope.
Millenial pink. A pair of faux-suede boots, which I loved, and one of the pairs of skinny jeans, which I don’t.
Logomania (Bags, belts etc). Never me.
Mom Jeans. Those styles make me feel I am the stereotype the name plays on
Distressed Jeans. Nope.
Dad sneakers I think the white tennies I just got count.
Cold shoulder tops. Not me.
The thing on this list that I bought that was the biggest leap for me was pink, in any way, shape or form. Bijou was encouraging about this.
