Did you take your items to the tailor?

In this thread, we were talking about what items we all had that were waiting to go to the tailor. I'm pleased to say that I did make an appointment last week and had a fitting for my two jackets and a blouse.

Picked up a large haul from my tailor on Monday! Everything fits to a t !! she does a stellar job. I even had 2 lined jackets and a coat takes in!!

I wasn't part of the original thread, but I just picked up a bunch of things from the tailor. I had some dresses remade into tunics to wear with leggings. They were old favorite dresses that I wasn't wearing any more. Now I have my old "friends" back, and best of all, my husband told me how much he liked the look of leggings and tunics on me! He hardly ever comments on what I wear, except to ask "Is that new?".

I just picked up my pair of the gray Martin skinnies yesterday. And she took in the waist a bit too much, darn it.

I still have a few things to go in, though!

I have a few things I need to bring in, including one item I want totally made over..I just LOVE the pattern and want the skirt remade into a top I can wear...but Ive been delaying doing it cuz I have trouble communicating with my tailor. She does such a good job, and on a easy thing like having sleeves shortened or pants hemmed its ok, but Im not sure I can get my idea across to her and would absolutely *cry* if it got screwed up- I cannot replace it.

I actually took one task on myself (buttons on a cotton blazer I'd dyed) and decided not to take in the leg of my satin pants to be pencil afterall. So, no tailor visits, but 2 items 'revived' and ready to be circulated into the mix. I still have some repair sewing of embellishment circles on a skirt and may get to it this afternoon since I have the needle and thread out.

I too was not a part of the original thread, but I just dropped of my trouser jeans to have the hem let out for heels, and also dropped off my new buttondown to get the sleeves shortened.
