Thank you lovelies, you are all so kind.
@jonesy you are right I am quite tiny in stature. I am 5ft2, but as Angie has taught us over the years, it's all about the correct proportions and creating an illusion of length. The wrong proportions even on a tall person can make an outfit look dumpy.
@Zaeobi I do know what you mean. I also prefer to 'cover up' and I find that coverage can certainly help create the architectural lines. And sometimes something simple like revealing a little skin at the ankle or lower arm is enough.
@Synne it has been quite a journey and but you know but deep down I always found these styles resonated with me. The effort was more in building my own self confidence and sitting comfortable with my style likes than actually searching for my style if that makes sense. The two questions for me are do I like what I see in the mirror? Do I feel good? I went through a time of trying out all the trends but it never felt authentic. I think it was a lot about wanting to fit in. Now I realise it's not how I dress that makes me 'fit in' or not.
@Firecracker I have always thought we shared a love of these looks and you carry an avant garde / draped look off to perfection.
