Really drawn to this Edun look, in some ways it is very much in keeping my style but I think there is something different which I can't pinpoint, please tell me what you see, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Hmm. I like it for the most part -- I like the mix of close-fitting top with the floaty skirt. I feel like the concept of the top is stronger than the execution. It looks like a knit that has a bit too much "stretched out" look to it -- it's a bit too long and the very open neckline and the long sleeves give it a slight droopy quality. But otherwise I find it intriguing. The organic lines of the tipped ruffle detail make the look, IMHO.

I just realized I didn't describe it so much as critique it. Sorry!

Baroque minimalism? It's an interesting riff on, or inversion of, long-over-lean, with the top being the lean part and the bottom having the fluid fit. Both top and bottom have a lot of movement. You've got both a column of colour and some contrast. I like it. Definitely doesn't read as particularly RATE to me, more edgy-yet-polished.

I see romantic/arty, and the top is giving me some Spanish vibes? Something about white piping on black and the waves or curves remind me of ruffles?

Flow-ey, elegant and easy. A lot of the decollete elegance complements her flat chest. If you are bustier, the skirt, the low cut collar will not have the same effect. It's a look made for girls with a straighter silhouette. The skirt works well this length because of the carelessness of the top/cardigan, with skin showing on top rather than on the bottom. And for so much skin to show without seeming indecent, one needs to not have too much going on there. I have a friend who is very flat chested and curvier in the butt area, and this look would be killer on her.

This silhouette is attractive to a woman because it combines many easy, relaxing features: flat heels, drapey leg covering skirt that looks like it moves with you, curves that are suggested rather than exhibited, warm yet sexy cardigan (extra-long sleeves/ low cut decollete), and an overall air of "I didn't try - but I'm so irresistible".

Gothic gentle elegance. Reminds me of Angelica Huston's decision to play Morticia Addams as a kind, gentle mother totally devoted to her children. I would wear that outfit in a heartbeat--and the jacket would look spectacular over cropped cigarette pants! Feminine but fierce!

The article is interesting, because I felt the look is crunchy fancy, with Parisian influence. It's what people in my hippie town, when they're not exactly hippie, wear to the symphony.

I could see this look with a large Victorian Hat. It is like a lovely throw back with structure.

You are all so brilliant at this and YES Rachy my style is becoming Crunchy-lite. I'm sitting here wearing my etsy fused glass earrings, drinking my green tea whilst fuming over politics / contemplating another tattoo. Crunchy? Quite probably.

I see trousers, not a skirt, and to me it is a bit reminiscent of the PJ trend, only not PJs exactly but elegant 30s type lounging clothes crossed with "le smoking."

I like it.

Modern Romantic! I really like the bl&w scheme, the ruffled hems on the top- the super long extra slim trumpet sleeves especially and the flowy wideleg trousers(culottes?) to it! Although I would suggest wearing a cami for the real life:-).
