In Suntiger's recent post she mentioned how certain prints/ patterns feel more authentic than others.

I found that rather interesting and I agree because I know that ditsy prints aren't everyone's cup of tea and yet I have always really enjoyed wearing ditsy prints for my own personal style. These Liberty style prints seem to have a timeless quality to them, and I find them rather whimsical, romantic and nice touch of femininity especially when combined with the rougher texture of denim. I like that juxtaposition to counterbalance the sweetness of this type of print. I also find that these tiny prints also help to soften my angular features, where as most plaid prints come off as too masculine on me, and do not feel authentic to my style.

Here are a few ways I like to wear ditsy prints with my denim jeans.

1) Soft knit button cardigan with ON loose fit jeans and Fossil Traveler bag
2) Consignment Liberty print top with Levis 90s Dad jeans, Fossil belt and ballet flats
3) ON cotton tee with Levis Lo pro denim jeans and slide sandals.

Would love to know what type of prints or patterns feel authentic to your style? And which ones do you avoid?
