The month got away from me so I did not post weekly as I had originally intended. So here is the whole month of outfits incorporating my sparkly or metallic accessories.

1) Bling: pendant on scarf; Event: church
2-3) Bling: Statement Necklace; Event: Ladies holiday tea
4) Bling: Headband, pin, stud loafers; Event: Ladies holiday luncheon
5-6) Bling: Toy Soldier earrings and stud loafers; Event: Book club
7-8) Bling: Bow sneakers; Event: Hockey game
9-13) Bling: Blue bracelet, earrings, and holographic bag; Event: Wheel of Fortune traveling show
14) Bling: Headband and bow sneakers; Event: Book Club gift exchange
(Trying Angie's Easy Pattern Mixing formula of graphic tee with plaid.)
15-16) Bling: Metallic faux wrap dress and statement necklace; Event: Holiday Pop music singalong show (Wearing with no hose and black pumps seemed too classic, so I really liked the dress with the textured hose and calf boots)
17) Bling: Jeweled tee and diamond stud earrings; Event: church
(I found this faux pleated skirt on clearance at Walmart for $3!)
18) Bling: pin on fur collar of cape coat; Event: Walking the holiday lighted trail of our downtown city park.
19-20) Toy soldier earrings; Event: Hockey game
21) Bling: Metallic scarf and long crystal earrings; Event: Performance of a musical version of A Christmas Carol that our local professional theater does each year and changes some of the music selections to keep it current.
(It's hard to tell from the photo, but this scarf is a gorgeous thin sheer material with black metallic threads and fringe ends.)
22-23) Bling: Statement necklace; Event: Christmas Eve church service.
24-25) Bling: Crystal earrings; Event: Christmas Day at home with the family
26) Bling: Metallic necklace and stud loafers; Event: Dinner out
27-28) Bling: Tri-color metallic necklace and gold flats; Event: church
29) Bling: Tri-color metallic necklace and gold flats; Event; New Years Eve at home

I really enjoyed this holiday outfit focus! The last necklace, cardigan in #28, and skirt in #17 were the only new items I purchased on a whim. So it was really nice to remix from my closet and still feel that my outfits were stylish enough. Thanks for stopping by! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season! My theme for the holiday was "paint the town red" and I did in fact wear something red or burgundy every single day, but I did not manage to take photos of most, alas.

Angie- Welcome back from your holiday hiatus! December's bling focus taught me that I have more fun with fashion when I have some type of theme or set some parameters. I need to come up with a monthly challenge for myself.
I'm surprised you like #9 as it seems quite ordinary except for the incognito bag bling.

I got some cheap Christmas themed jewelry at Walmart and wore it to death. My favorite was a necklace of tree lights that lit up . Christmas socks and slippers with bears in a Santa hat were cute and warm. The hunt continues for a Christmas scarf to replace an old favorite. My sister had several made for me but they are very casual in flannel or cotton. They get worn for everyday.

AJ, you can make themed monthly outfits a style goal to stick to for 2024. Some of our forum members enjoy dressing to a monthly theme, and do so very successfully!

I so love your interpretation of bling. All rather subtle or very different to the usual (stud flats, metallic loafers, bowed sneakers-wow) and creative pairings (textured hose+calf bootsm bib necklace on a plaid). Love the brooche (esp on the fur), the earings and bracelett are fab as well. Love them all! You surely looked fab in your bling for all the events! Yeay!

This is such a delightful collection of outfits! It sounds like having a challenge really sparked your creativity. The results speak for themselves! I especially like the mix of fancy and casual in #1, and also in #17.
