Daytime sequin WIW

I've been inspired by Trinny Woodall (is she as well known in the States?) to wear sequins casually. This is what I'm wearing today. Got a happy squeal by a little girl who saw me. Fun! The third pic is from another outfit with my neon shoes. I thought I could pull of dark monochrome, if I added some "spunk". Didnt feel so fab. Maybe it shows too?

I love both of these! Yes to wearing sequins casually because they are so much fun. This reminds me, I must wear my sequinned skirt this weekend (in Finds). Trinny and Suzanna were on television in the early 2000's in Australia and I have always admired her style.

Loved Trinny as well, but didn't know she was still around ... Must see what she's up to! The sequined outfit looks so beautiful; the dark is nice but perhaps a bit 'heavy' as compared to other outfits you wear ... Maybe that's what feels off?

love the 1st cream on cream outfit..i think the textures and proportions work really well together
for me, the 2nd outfit works from the shoes up...for me the neon shoes throw the outfit off..they feel out of sync with the rest of the outfit. i'd love to see the same outfit with booties or loafers.

Love Trinny and yes to casual sequins! Love it! I think the dark outfit is good but I'm thrown off a little by the bright shoes. They don't seem in keeping with the outfit.

How did you know Angie was doing that post today? You look lovely in this all pale neutral outfit.

I'm not sure what to say about the dark outfit. There is something about the cuts of the pants and jacket together that somehow doesn't add up. But I like the pop of color the shoes add. I (nearly) always like a pop of color, so the fact that I like it here doesn't really say much.

The daytime sequin outfit is brilliant!

I will be the spanner and say I really like the dark outfit. To my eye the sheen of the jacket brings some lightness to the top half of the outfit and makes the shoes cohesive. But as Angie says, YOU have to like it!

The sequin outfit is great! I love the jacket in the dark outfit. I think the sneakers are cute although maybe they don't quite go with the vibe of the jacket? Not sure - I wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't said anything.

SQUEEE! That first outfit is FAB. Good choice with the ribbed long sleeve under the sequin top. This is a good example of Angie's Light Neutral Monochrome outfit formula.

Love how you've layered the sequinned top over a t - great styling ! I agree with Kkards re the darker outfit - the neon shoes aren't maybe the best here ?

Love Trinny and Susannah! Got a few of the books too.
You look smashing in light colors and sequins! Your dark outfit is unexpected and fun - I like neon yellow thrown in the mix -just wish for the same color somewhere in accessories too ( like a bracelet, brooch, or something bright on your belt/sash ..). However it's fine the way it is - great pictures!

I’m loving the sequin top and how flashy it is!
You can wear a black belt with a silver buckle for some added spunk to both outfits, especially #3 but the silver buckle will also match the sequin shirt.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions! Yes, Trinny is very much still around. I love her crazy Zara shop-ups on youtube. She has a great eye for finding interesting pieces to layer. Very educational, although her shopping churn and wardrobe size is ridiculous!

Love Trinny and Susannah - made me laugh and I follow Trinny on Instagram. I have tried her makeup too ( love the BFF and eye colours).

I really like the pale outfit- stunning! Outfit 2 is also good - go the daytime sparkle.
