Three years ago I started posting WIWs. I could not imagine how much the simple activity of daily taking photos of my outfits would become important part of my day/life, nor just how many benefits of posting, analysing and generally discussing what I wore there would be - nor how the rewards and learnings would spill over to other areas of my life.

A year later, in 2012, I did a week of posts inspired my my older self and the change was interesting to say the least. I then decided to make the "This Time Last Year I Wore..." my personal tradition just to see how much my style really evolved in the previous year. Nothing to put things into perspective like Before and After seen side by side

In February 2013 some other things took over my life (final decision to buy the house and all the upheaval that comes with the package). Although I participated on the forum, I had no capacity for the experiment.

This year I'm doing it again and I'm very exciting to see what I'll discover in the week of style retrospective. I am interested to hear your thoughts of course, as I've discovered numerous times how much of my own outfit and its aspects I hadn't noticed without your perspective.

The main idea is very simple - take the photo of what I wore this time last year and use it inspiration for putting together the outfit I'd wear now.

Without much further ado, I give you Day 1 then and now.

Photo 1 :: What I Wore Today
Photo 2 :: The rest of today's outfit, with the scarf and jacket for running errands.
Photo 3 :: Evolution of Day1 outfit over time. It feels strange looking at this - the first two both felt right at the time, but would not pass as something I'd post.

Thanks for reading. Comments and suggestions most welcome.
