Daring to Wear: Faux Leather Leggings.

I've had the Hue Leatherette leggings for awhile but had not styled them yet... Monday to face the day, I decided I needed to give it a go..
I actually liked these a lot more than I thought I would...

Outfit two was layering up for colder temps with a 30 degree drop.. I started with Calvin Klein striped t-shirt dress,added a sweater, then poncho... Had to wear with flat boots for my sciatica, which is much better... I dreamed of this outfit for awhile, but I wore knee high heeled boots in the dream...

Great looks! Tracey I hope you don't mind me saying I would prefer to see a longer top with the leggings. I also respect my preference may not echo yours The leather leggings are clearly 'leggings' and I just feel the top is a little short. The vest is gorgeous and the perfect partner to the leggings, a slightly longer more fluid top that falls even lower than the vest could look amazing.

Love the mix of black and white / patterns in the second outfit.

Ooo fun leather pants are fun! I like both looks but the first one is my favorite. Too bad you couldn't wear the knee high boots irl that would make for a killer outfit also

Great looks - love outfit #1 and the leather leggings with the faux vest. All kinds of fun. Outfit #2 is great and you will have to wear again with the knee high boots.

I love the top! Green black and white is a favorite combo of mine. Congratulations on giving the pants a go. I am going to respectfully disagree with Deborah on the length of the top. I think it's fine only because the vest provides the visual length that a longer top would, in addition to a vertical line that breaks up the line of demarcation at your hips. Without the vest I would probably lean toward agreeing with Deborah.
My issue is actually with the shoe. I like that they bookend the green stripe in the top, however, the shoes have a rounded toe and a floral pattern which suggests a more romantic/retro look. They seem out of place with the more modern graphic top, edgy vest, and leatherette pant. I like how in #2 the boots fit right in with the graphic pattern mixing you're doing as a result the style in #2 is more consistent.

Thank you for the feedback..
. I actually thought the same as Day Vies, that the longer vest made this length top work well. I also had visions of my next pairing of a longer more fluid fit top as Deborah advised. I imagine that look when I can wear heels again....Sciatica is improving, actually bowled yesterday and no repercussions, just the small twinges I've had for the past few days..
