I thought I would showcase how some of my thoughtfully purchased, Canadian-made ethical shopping came together today with a random "vintage" piece to form a last minute quick outfit. Sorry no pictures though...

My mother has been doing some extended form of Swedish Death Cleaning for years and keeps showing up with random things she has stored since the 90s. She's had a lot of hits recently with old clothes that match current trends for my kids. But they had no interest in this simple sleeveless navy cotton twill dress (stiffer and higher necked than this one; quite plain, has pockets, faded in the nicest way of good quality cotton). By some miracle, it fits me perfectly (not usually the case as we have very different body types) and I was looking for a "house dress" for working from home... and now it's my second or third day in a row of wearing it.

My husband texted me spontaneously to meet him for lunch, so I took off my cozy Wear Franc sweatshirt and threw on this off-white Power of My People shirt and tied it at my waist. I grabbed my new bag from Brave Leather, and my cream Birks from last year. I felt instantly put together and my husband said... "You Look Fab!".
